"I desire mercy, not scarifice. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Matthew 9:13

I hope last night's Annual Back to School Night was an informative one and you got to know a little about your teacher and their expectations for your child as we begin this new school year. Know that the faculty, the HSA, Fr. Marc and myself are here to insure that each and every child is challenged up to his/her potential so they can grow academically and in our beautiful Catholic faith.

Today is picture day. All students will have their individual pictures taken. Should your son or daughter be absent for some reason today, makeup pictures will take place on Friday, November 16.

I continue to work with Rediker to rectify the new School Information System, Rediker. I am working overtime make sure we get our Emergency Notification System working. Currently some families are getting the notifications, but not everyone. I will continue to send Test Messages out until I see that the report tells me that everyone is receiving them. I apologize to those who are getting the messages and I hope it not too much of inconvenience, but I do need to resolve this. Hopefully it will resolved very shortly. In the event we cannot sync the system with the server we do have a back-up communication system that we will use. Thank you for your patience.

On Saturday, September 29 the HSA will host a "Chilli Cook Off." It will take place from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. Hope you can make it.

I would just like to reiterate what I spoke about last night at Back to School Night regarding the drop off of your child in the morning at the main entrance of the building. Please pull all the way up alongside the curb in the morning and let your child out on the right side of the passenger door. This is the safest way to drop them off and will prevent any accidents from occurring. Please do not park in the middle of the parking lot and escort your child through oncoming traffic. This is a safety issue and I need everyone's cooperation.

Finally, we are still in need of volunteers for lunch and playground duty. Please contact your child's, teacher or the main office if you can assist. Volunteers are also needed for the, "Scrap and Craft Fair," on Saturday, October 13.

God bless,
Tim Dunnigan
Principal STS
