"The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord." Psalm 33

Thank you to all who supported our "Meatball Madness" and our "Clothing Drive" last week. Both were a huge success. Our 8th graders, Mrs. Cardinale and I send our gratitude to all who helped make these graduation fundraisers successful.

Please take a look at the Beacon as our students, faculty and HSA members were acknowledged for helping the Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Pennsacola/Tallahassee after Hurricane Michael destroyed a number of the schools in the diocese. On short notice our students raised over $1000.00 and sent it to the diocese to help them with their recovery.

Tonight we will be having our annual "Trunk or Treat." The event begins at 6:30 pm and thanks to all of the parent volunteers we have an overabundance of Trunks. Thank you for making this a fun night for our students. They are really looking forward to it.

Next Wednesday is Halloween, and our "Annual Halloween Parade" will begin promptly at 1:00 pm. We are looking forward to seeing all of the interesting and creative costumes as our students parade around the school grounds.

On Thursday, November 1 we will celebrate "All Saints' Day." All students will be attending the 8:30 am mass as it is a Holy Day of Obligation.

On Friday, November 2, we celebrate "All Souls' Day" as well as First Friday Mass. All students will be attending mass at 11:00 am.

November 2 is also the end of the First Marking Period.

November 15 is our next General HSA Meeting. The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm.

Finally, I have gotten the Administrator's Plus Notify System to work from my phone. As you know we switched over to a new School Information System called Rediker, and with that, a new Alert System, called AP Notify. Up until today you have been getting texts, emails and voice mails via computer from AP Notify. I have been working over the last few weeks to use the AP Notify App from my phone, but for some reason the messages were not getting through to parents via cell phone. That has been rectified today. Important and Emergency messages need to be sent via cell phone in the event a storm knocks out the internet. If that happens, messages cannot be sent out from my computer, but they can be sent out from my phone. So now we have all of the bases covered in the event we have a storm and a message needs to be sent out to parents. You will know the message came via cell phone when you see From: Thank you for your patience as I worked the kinks out on our new Emergency Message System.

Have a Blessed weekend,
Tim Dunnigan
Principal STS
