"The Lord is just in all his ways and holy in all his works." Psalms 145:17-18

This week we began the week with the start of the Luminous Mysteries and we concluded it today. Each day of October we have been praying a decade of the Holy Rosary in honor of our Blessed Mother and familiarizing the students with the four mysteries. So far we have recited the Joyful, Sorrowful and Luminous. Next week will begin the Glorious Mysteries.

On Tuesday, all students wore sunglasses in support of the Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Pennsacola-Tallahassee, Florida. Students and faculty raised over $1000.00 on very short notice.

On Tuesday, I attended a Security in-service presented by the Department of Education and the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. In the last two years we have made some significant improvements in the security of the building. We continue to run lockdown drills, shelter in place drills, fire drills and evacuation drills so that we will be prepared in the event something occurs. It is all of our responsibility when it comes to security, so if you see a weak link do not hesitate to let me know so the situation can be rectified. That being said, please make sure that when you enter the building that you sign in and get a visitors pass, and always use the main entrance to enter.

There are a number of activities and fundraisers coming up. The 8th grade is running its annual Meatball Madness on Saturday, October 20. Doors open at 5:00 pm. There will also be orders to go if you are on the run.

The Trunk or Treat is scheduled for Friday, October 26. As of now we have 12 trunks. We need 30. If you can volunteer your trunk for a night please let us know so we don't have to cancel.

This upcoming Tuesday, October 23rd, Pope John will be hosting its Final Open House for Fall 2018. The event will begin at 7:30 pm and all are welcome.

Have a Blessed Weekend,
Tim Dunnigan
